Is there an updated sb client available (or in the works) for BeOS? I noted that the BeOS version number is lower than those of other OSs. I'm having trouble with the client dying with this message:
[Fri May 12 22:21:37 2006] internal computation error [sumout error]! check your memory/processor. test will restart in 5 minutes.
System runs well otherwise, is not OC'd (tho has been in past without issue), very cool (<46C after several hours full load) and passes routine tests (memtest86, Sandra burn-in, etc.). Advice and ideas welcome!

Also noted speed/output is much greater on same machine using Windows client 2.5.0 instead of BeOS 2.2.0. If written in C/C++, there's a much improved compiler available for BeOS than was probably used to compile this version (BeOS 4.5 is very old). I'd be happy to try to rebuild an up-to-date client. Is anyone reading this?

I think a new build for BeOS would be a good thing ... as I remember (but I might very well be wrong, but I am sure it is one of the three project admins that would be in charge of this jjjjL (http://www.free-dc.org/forum/member.php?u=441), Alien88 (http://www.free-dc.org/forum/member.php?u=588), kugano (http://www.free-dc.org/forum/member.php?u=752)) it is louie who usually does the builds, I think the reason there is no never version for BeOS is that they don't have an availabe machine to do the compiling on.
There have been quite a few problems with the speed reported by the program itself through time, the Linux version still has somewhat misleading speed reportings so use the webpage to see your correct speed over longer time intervals (the unit cems/s is strongly biased anyhow)

Thanks for the reply Frodo42. I'll try to contact these three folks to see if there's something I can do to help.

I too vote for a new SB client for BeOS/Haiku/Zeta - tigerdog, if you have any issues contacting the admins, please let me know.
More important (to me) is that the new client be able to distinguish which BeOS OS it is running on. Haiku is the (opensource) future of BeOS, and I would like any production I run on Haiku to be reported as such. Afterall, I am a member of TeamHaiku in an effort to increase Haiku OS's worldwide awareness!
tigerdog, myself, and several other members of TeamHaiku (heck, many of them are even involved in WRITING the Haiku OS) are fully-qualified to build a new SB client if the admins don't have access to a machine. I would even consider setting up sshd for an admin to connect to a machine remotely if necessary.
