With the availability of the Internet across the world, there is sometimes a confusion of dates, some people(Americans, for instance) use month/day/2-digit year, while others(Europeans, I think) use day/month/year, and SOME people, especially the computer savvy use a 6 or 8-digit number, 060603 or 20060603 for today.
I have a recommendation for a new rule that could apply to everyone that uses the 26-letter(not including the symbols that sometimes go next to or over them) alphabet. Instead of the numbers 1-12 for the months, we could use the letters A-L, A for January through L for December. So today would be G0306 for Americans and 03G06 for Europeans. Also, we could choose a letter(not necessarily 'y') that would denote that the next 2 digits denote a year.
I know that this might get the same flack as the Metric system did in the US.(Actually, much less, since I'm not that influential:D ) But what do you guys and gals think of my idea?
