Looks like we will be number 1 in Red Library within a couple of weeks.

Big  to all those involved in the big push to :stomp: our old adversaries at Ars. (you now we love you really guys)

SO

What's next, or even what are we doing while we are Red Library-ing?

I have a meagre few GHZ at home to place on a project now that my DPAD targets are all done. Looking for some :beep: :fight: :train: fun.

Well I am still pushing hard in DPAD
At present levels we will be#2 on 30 days and #1 in 60 days:rock:

Would be nice to close the gaps in SOB17 for awhile. :D

I ~believe the calculations are using +5m a day.
This is due to some unknown muppets nasty toiletry habbits. :rotfl:
I would guess at current rates it is more likely to be 5x more...
Just my .12

So what's going to be SOB or DPAD?
I prefer DPAD because it's a waste of time running SOB on AMD machines.

We could use some help on OGR.

The client is very much "start and forget" and can be completely hidden or installed as a service. There is a client for most operating systems and processor architectures.

This isn't just another prime number math project either, the results are important for science.

Please explain me how the results are important for science.

I'm not a scientist, so I can't be specific. However, http://www.distributed.net/ogr/ claims that:

"OGR's have many applications including sensor placements for X-ray crystallography and radio astronomy. Golomb rulers can also play a significant role in combinatorics, coding theory and communications..."

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimal_Golomb_Ruler) claims that:

"One practical use of Golomb rulers is in the design of phased array radio antennae such as radio telescopes."

So was anything decided? Which project is getting pushed?

I've started (belatedly) running DIMES and Red Library to help out with those even though I've had reservations about them.

We could still really use a push in OGR. Only 6 of 54 of us were active yesterday. We are 25th overall. At our current rate, the team one spot ahead of us is more than doubling our daily output and the team one spot behind did more than nine times our output yesterday. Between teams in position 20 - 30, we had the lowest output yesterday. We are basically losing no matter which angle you look at it!

I'm certainly at full production at the moment.

Personally I'd also like to see us up in the 9P range in SoB too, but it would be a long haul.. We'd need a sustained 300-400M I think to see it this year.. perhaps when Birdman returns from his long vacation and maybe Maefly comes back..

Alson once it cools down I have a few more intels to fire up which just don't work well in the summer months so are switched off.. if I put all my dualcores on that would be another 50M or so.

I vote for SOB, with a side order of DPAD.

Nice output PCZ!!!!

I added a couple more, will add more as I get time today, to get us over 250M .. Who's going to push us past 300M??

I switched the 805d's back on :)

I will have to monitor the power consumption closely :D

Are they still measuring in cem's? They claimed they were going to fix that a long time ago.

Yes, they are.

Well, we need to call PY 222 and Maefly back to SOB.
