Hi, after gaining some confidence with distributed folding, i decided to switch some windows PC screen saver to run distribfold. I notice the screen saver have stagnant images/text which does not move. Since most of our PCs are still running WINNT (without switching off the monitor), is it possible for you to make the screen saver moving around the screens like United Device Screen saver? It will help keeping my monitor life for a longer life.

This is just a complete aside - sounds like a good idea...

Any monitor built in the last five plus years, however, runs 'cold' phosphers. Unless there is a single VERY bright color - modern monitors don't burn in...

If they're energy star compliant and your BIOS is as well - you might consider setting up power-save (as it's a good idea for energy conservation anyway).

Just a couple of observations...

ditto

I use the power turn off for summer and leave the monitors on in the winter for heat. (OK, so its easier to check my email in the middle of the night and not stumble.)
