I have a new A8N-VM CSM motherboard that locked up upon reboot it posts this
Boot Block compatible Ver .013
Bad Bios checksum Starting Bios recovery

Checking for Floppy
floppy not found

Checking for CD
CD not found

Checking for Floppy
floppy not found

Checking for CD
CD not found

Checking for Floppy
floppy not found

Checking for CD
CD not found

A endless loop
Any body ever run into this thing??
:umm: DID the PC get a virus?

Yes the MB acts like it was flashed and it did not take But it was not
I tried what you / they posted but it is a bad bios I can reflash it but it will not hold the through the next boot Have to RMA it:swear:

Talked to support there sending out a new Bios chip:cheers:
I never had a Bios go bad in the middle of a work unit:confused:

I guess if there talking about sending you a bios chip then then it is socketed.

It might have walked out of the socket.
Give it a good push down in to the socket.

A half year ago I had Asus A8N VM CSM where the network didn't work properly and every now and then I got into operating system. After I got it back from RMA it worked fine, but a few months ago I sold it... it was a nice mobo with DVI and Sub15 onboard VGA :) Not a lot small µATX mobos have DVI output...
