Okay how many f*@%ing people on this forum are named Jeff?! :rotfl:
If you're a Jeff then post as such. I'm thinking we have 3-5 Jeff's on the board but I'm not exactly sure so we might as find out who we all are...
Then we must start studying why Jeff's are attracted to DC and even Free-DC imparticular. :jester:
I am Jeffrey technically. Is anyone a Geoffrey or Jeffery? Maybe even just Jeff with no "ery"? :-p

I'm glad to see there is someone else that spells it properly. :)
Jeffrey is my first name, but I go by my middle name, and no, DesertFolk is not my middle name.

2400 baud? Wow, you got lucky. I remember starting with a 300 baud modem, I could read and type faster than it was able to send. But one good thing is that it had very robust handling of noise. You could pick up the phone and yell into the line and you might see 1 or 2 characters of garbage on the screen unlike a 2400 baud that usually just lost the connection sometimes just by picking up an extension.

Ya I had one of the 300 to, It Was to slow for me so I went and paid the Big bucks (I think $300 at that time ) for the 2400
I think I may still have the 300 It was like 12" long 6" wide 2" deep :bang:
How about 160 baud? I never used one but I remember seeing one at school. ;)
