Sieve scoring

Is submitting factors through SoBistrator enough for scoring, or is there something else I should be doing?

thats' enough for SCORING
you can also submit content factexcl.txt via http://www.seventeenorbust.com/sieve/ for gap analysis.
and also you can submit fact.txt at url above just to be sure that sobistrator does his work right. you should recieve message "0 new factors" after submitting. that's will mean that your factors was already submitted by sobistrator.

A second thing, does anyone know how often the Free-DC stats are updated?

AFAIK once an hour, but the reporting projects only do so every 6, 8, 12, or 24 hrs.
