Now that Macs have been using intel processors for some time, is it possible to get a client release? As the code compiles on linux and freebsd, I would expect from past experience it will compile on Mac OS X with few, if any, changes.
I would be happy to help with testing / compiling, as I own an Intel Mac myself.

Unfortunately, the object files that are used are a pain to get working on Mac. I've tried in the past and we just don't have time to work on it.

Have you tried Agner Fog's objconv program? I've used this to successfully get the development version of the FFTs working on Intel Mac OS X. In fact I'm using the utility to convert to Linux/FreeBSD ELF format rather than using objcopy.
I've not tried Agner Fog's objconv program on the version 24 FFTs that you use in SoB, but I don't foresee any major problems.

Actually, I have not. I will take a look into this.
