Well Guys, looks like proteins@home is bout ready to take a vacation.Nanohive is still indefinitely on hold, so I'm looking for something new to start the boxes on .I prefer somthing medical related, and I kinda like the BOINC client.Sorry Carlos, DPAD ain't happening!!! I just got the Athlon 64 x2 burned in good , so I wanna see what it can do,at stock speeds!! Any suggestions for me to check out?

Free-DC is going hard on OGR.

Well it isn't BOINC-based, but a lot of us are hitting OGR-25 (http://www.distributed.net/ogr/) (distributed.net) at the moment. It should finish in the coming months and we are climbing up the ranks whilst we still can.
I wouldn't say that it isn't related to medicine because OGRs are used in X-ray crystallography (Myoglobin was the first protein to have its structure solved by X-ray crystallography).
Alternatively... TANPAKU (http://issofty17.is.noda.tus.ac.jp/index_E.php) or Rosetta (http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/)?

OGR it is! Point me in the right direction! I'll put the 4400 x2 on it first, and we'll go from there!
O.K.Now I remember what I hated about This POS!! Someone tell me how to config this crap for OGR!! I still have my e-mail from when I ran rc5-72 but had totally uninstalled it.I know it has to be setup for 2 cores for the x2.

OK go here
http://www1.distributed.net/download/clients.php
install it, then edit the dnetc.ini
copy this over what is in the .ini file Just replace id=******@***** with you email Addy
[parameters]
id=******@*****
[triggers]
restart-on-config-file-change=yes
pause-on-no-mains-power=no
pause-flag-filename=pause
pause-watch-plist=
[display]
progress-indicator=auto-sense
detached=no
[ogr-p2]
fetch-workunit-threshold=1000
[misc]
project-priority=OGR-P2,RC5-72=0
[buffers]
frequent-threshold-checks=1
Then start dnetc.exe and it will start, and it will run 2 if it is X2 on auto
:hifi: thanks for the help :hifi:

I think fetch-workunit-threshold=1000 is a bit much to start out with... 50 or 100 would suffice unless you plan on working off net.
Take a read here first and see if that jogs some memory cells. ;)

It's a super easy reliable client to run actually. :thumbs:

O.K., haveit installed on the x2. It should be finished with it's proteins@ home wu's tonight, or tomorrow, and I will fire it up on OGR at time.Curious to see how many wu's it will pump out in a day!:lmao: :clap: :rock:
Hopefully, since I was a member of free-dc on rc5-72, it will still keep me as a member on OGR.

autofindkeyserver=no
keyserver=*:2064;www.free-dc.org (http://www.free-dc.org)
nofallback=false
dialup-watcher=active
interfaces-to-watch=*
disabled=no
*Note* by using the "nofallback=false" statement if Bok's server is unable to feed or recieve your blocks it will use a Dnet server (of course any blocks directly dumped to Dnet will not be included in your block count on the Free-DC Team Stats Server)
Way to go n7vxj :thumbs:

Already having problems!! Tried to do a manual flush, and came up with this message. Enetdown: network down or not available Buffer flush failed I'm on dsl so there shouldn't be any problem that I know of!
