Hi everybody,
i cleared my cache after reading about the new prime (had a secondpass test for exactly that k).
And now i notice some weird behavor of the client: It is stuck.
That means it does not make any progress, sometimes for minutes. I'm used to see the percentage level of a block increase pretty fast (0.1% in less than a second), but now it does not move at all. It started normally and suddenly got stuck. Note furthermore: If i exit Winamp, it goes back to normal. That never happened before. I got k = 21181 n = 7043012 right after secondpass discovered a prime at basically the same n value - and the client is stuck. Maybe this should be looked into ...
The particular box is a Sempron 2600+, 512 MB RAM running Win98 SE.
And congratulations on finding the new prime
But it is strange that the last 2 primes were secondpass discoveries. I posted long ago (when n ~ 5M was tested) that a prime might have been missed. I didn't expect to find out today that 2 primes were missed - even after i had read Zuzu's post before he got a reply ;-)
