Are you referring to a MacIntel or MacPPC client? I haven't built the latest version of LLR for MacIntel, but once I do, I will send it to Jean. I've been out of town for a few days and haven't had access to my computer.
BTW, there is no MacPPC client for LLR, yet. AFAIK, Jean is working on one that is based upon the FFTW library, but he has had some difficulties in debugging, so it will have to wait.

I've run into a problem with linking the latest code. I won't have time to investigate tonight, but with luck I will have a solution tomorrow.
Until it is ready, use them for sieving. sr2sieve works great on MacIntel.

Jean has posted the MacIntel build of LLR on his website at http://jpenne.free.fr/index2.html. If anything else is needed to get this going, let me know.

How does this LLR help with SoB?
Will there be a client for the Intel Mac that works the same way as the one on Windows does?

AFAIK it doesn't, except to prove that GWNUM based code can be ported to OSX.
LLR is used by a lot of other projects, PSP, RieselSieve, TwinPrime, GCW to name a few.

to find primes.... please GUI intel mac client
Dear Esquire,
your request in all honor, let me express my doubt about whether you wil get one. Basically, building one would probably be more work than what you would have to do to handle a non-GUI-client.
For SoB, I am pretty sure that you will not see one, at least soon; for LLRnet,it might arise at some point by the usual development, but one doesn't know either if and when.
Here are the other possibilities, non-GUI, but not difficult. Easy, I'd even say. Give it a try, if you want. (Disclaimer: I have no Mac; I assume everything works like with windows or Linux)
You said you wanted to find primes.
http://jpenne.free.fr/index2.html has already been pointed out. Get a file with your reservation here: http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=2667; you then get a window, or you need to run a command, if it's Linux style. You will find any help in the forums. (It's not SoB, but the same staly of primes, a little smaller)
Other possibility is sieving, where you will not find any primes, but factors, which are even more worthy for the project at this point. I refer to the first post here: http://www.free-dc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3501 for instuctions.
I would be happy if this post was helpful to you, Yours H.

Not gonna happen, at least anytime soon. The command line version works very well and AFAIK, not many people are running it.
I haven't had much experience with writing GUIs on OS X and I just don't have the luxury or time to spend my time on it. Maybe there is a college or high school student on this list with an Intel Mac who would be interested in taking up the challenge...
