I'm talking about Mhz ? Where does it become stupid to be running DC projects ? 100mhz, 200 400, ?

Where do u draw the line between keeping a box crunching, and putting it out to pasture.. also bearing in mind not all or us can afford the power of a small sub-station :P

Yeah I have a 233, that I've yet to hook up..

needs a bit of work before its up and running..
but yeah i didn't think it would do so well..

How come RC5 is better ??

i would rather stick to what I'm good at.. seti all the way!

i run g@h on a couple of pentium 100's at work, but that is only because i have to have them for testing, and since i run all the other test pc's 24/7 with g@h or f@H , i run those two as well

at home, i am clearing out all my sub-300 Mhz pc's, moving on to faster boxen :)

i just retired my 486dx4-100 router in favor of PII-300Mhz boxen, it cruches RC5 ;)

I agree with FoBoT. Anything below 300 is pretty tired and tiresome these days. Of course, mostly all I do now DC-wise, is Folding, which requires pretty quick machines. I've got a couple of PII-400's at work that take 33 hours to do a F@H WU. I think they'll soon move to SETI or G@H.
