I've finally had enough of the PoC that I call a router - guys NEVER get a D-LINK if they are anything like the one I got they will fall over in about 3 seconds when you try anything the DNS lookup table must be about 10 bytes or something equally small or it just don't work.
I wasn't going to change it so a router I got give by HvS was wiped and setup for my boss to use as his normally reliable Netgear 834 was acting up and he needed wireless. I then got given another router this time a
"Belkin ADSL2+ with High speed wireless G router" I have the config file from my current router is there anyway I can easily copy the config over between routers, i.e maybe save the new router config and mod it with the old data and then re-upload (saving the "blank" incase it don't work), or would I have to somehow have them both connected at the same time and do it 100% manual page by page :-S

I've never been successful transferring parameters - always wound up doing it the hard way. Sorry 'bout that. Maybe it can be done... I just never figured it out.

For several years, I thought I was the proving grounds for marginal D-Link designs. Just couldn't keep one running over one year. Finally settled on Netgear and have had good luck ever since. I mean, they all die sooner or later, but at least the Netgears seem to gracefully wait until the warranty period is past. No experience w/Belkin - good luck! :looney:
