The little lady is expected around the beginning of March.

Her name will be Olivia Simone Goatcher. Since she is a Goatcher, she will simultaneously be expected to accomplish great things and be loved unconditionally.

Anything from a young, well adapted super-genius to a mentally ill Downs Syndrome child will be fine with me, just so long as she knows she's loved.

I won't be there for the birth, but I'm looking forward to the pictures, which I'll proudly show off to my co-workers. And maybe they'll show up here, if my brother puts them online.

It's a funny feeling being an uncle, honest, you do get used to it eventually but just think you can at least give them back..

Being an uncle is great (if you like kids at all). It has most of the benefits of being a grandparent without that pesky step of rasing your own kids :)
