WOW! It's FAST!
Moogie, borg that blender again!
would do but can't connect :( - keep getting 'Server is down for maintenance'
but if it is quick for ppl it should be fairly fast on my lil' ole' p4 2.7... :)

Surely should be OK by now...?
i'm still getting 'server is down for maintenance'...been like that for abour 2 1/2 hours (was working on the 69 protein then i had to reboot and it hasn't connected since - have about 25k to upload as well...)
this is what i get:
Checking for newer versions...
SERVER DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE, TRY AGAIN LATER
Please try again later. Press Enter
edit - also getting this in the error log
ERROR: [001.001] {foldtrajlite.c, line 5788} StartServiceCtrlDispatcher failed with error 1063
but think that's because i run it as a service...

pfb,
Can you access the DF website?
If not, you may have some upstream communications problems (like your ISP).
If so, then you should be able to up/down load. I would suggest stopping the client and trying to force it to upload with the -ut switch. (Easier if you use dfGUI, assuming Winders, if other, then manual.)
can access website...
client is stopped...using dfGUI to upload gets the server down for maintenance message...trying with -u t gets the server down message...
nothing works  - or it could be due to my location (UK)?
Perfect upgrade this time:D
All clients were crunching the new protein when I came home. I see a red wave coming:eek:
something came down - dfGUI is now saying protein size is 53 - but still get the server maintence message...
edit
tracert to 206.248.62.8 (which is what it appears foldtrajlite.exe is contacting) runs and gets to a server - so is connecting just not downloading much... :bang:

I dunno. If it's saying protein size 53, then it got updated and at least it should be crunching now. If not, do a manual download, update your files & start it going. Temporarily disconnect from the net if it won't run 'cause it can't call home. It'll get to the site sooner or later. ;)
performed the manual update - and started the client with the cable modem off...seems to be processing the 53 now...and uploads ok - seems the automatic update didn't work properly...
nope, still wants to check for new version...if i have my modem off during the check for new versions it works fine - just a pain to do that at the moment - and the service won't start :(
and it's quick - just 3 structures a second at the moment :)

Maybe they raised the tariff on calls from the UK. :p
Sounds to me like you got traction now. Fold on!
having a look at my cable provider's website there is a connection issue outstanding for my area - so could be that (can't think what else is could be with my 1MBit cable connection...)
yep - now getting between 3 and 3.3 structures a second - depends if it has to go and calculate energy...
should move me from green to yellow :)
edit - nope, won't upload due to the server 'down for maintenance'...
Welcome back FoBoT.
