*yawn* we need some competition over here. I know it's bad when I'm ruling supreme in the dailies for almost a month in the PSP PRP stats.

Again.

Just in case Sloth's message was too cryptic for you, he is currently projected to pass you in 33 days (21Jun2008).

That was yesterday's post.
Today, Sloth will pass in 31 days (19Jun2008) according to the 11 day average, and 22 days (10Jun2008) according to the 25 day average.
I created a new thread, because no one had replied to the old one.

Another day, another 2 days closer.

Sloth will pass in 28 days (17Jun2008) according to the 12 day average, and 21 days (10Jun2008) according to the 26 day average.

Big deal...

It is to:
chino112
japelprime
magnav0x
SB2
But despite their valiant efforts, it looks like Sloth will overtake Free-DC on 6-Jun-08 or shortly thereafter.
Unless you come to their aid.

Unless you come to their aid.

Not me, all my cores are reserved to another prime hunting project.

There are so many projects, which one are we talking about?
Stats linkage would be helpful ;)

My take on the situation is that Sloth is in this for the long haul, which will force us to devote a bit of resources on the project to stay ahead. The silverlining is if we choose to do this we will be forced in to overtaking Ars to stay ahead.

Now that I've looked at the stats, it seems one of my remote borgs has quit communicating ... :( (time for a road trip).

@ Ironbits .... Just a heads up, I'll be pulling the machines on NPLB 5000 and CRUS 6 in the next day or 2 and redirecting them to PSP.

Will be nice to finally see others get into the project. Half the reason I made a push in the project was to get to the top. The other half was to get more people working on it. Last month had the most work done in the last year. Time to see if we can make those numbers look small.

I'm still trying to figure out which of the many projects this one is referring to. Appreciate the assistance. :)

Thanks for that Beyond.
What client do we use and where do you get the work from?
One of the llrnet servers or something else?

Beyond

LLRNet client can be found here --> http://www.psp-project.de/guides/prp.html

Or if you are confortable using the stand alone LLR client (which is 7% faster) and manually reserving / reporting ranges --> http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=2667

If you are running a multicore CPU you can go to http://www.rieselsieve.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=536
and get an installer that will do 2-4 cores. Makes it a lot easier to set up on the dual / HT cpus.
You will want to make sure you then change the server info to point to PSP. In the LLR-CLIENTconfig.txt file change to the following info:
server = "pspnet.no-ip.info"
port = 12984
the user name should have been set during the install process.

If you have not done any work on the project before, and want to get added to a team :rotfl: go to http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=2692
Post the user name and team you want to join. You can start work before getting on the team. I guess you should also check http://www.psp-project.de/stats.html
to make sure no one is already using your name on the project.

Free-DC Mercenaries is missing...Free-DC appears so I suppose it was a cut off.
That happened when I merged the participants from Sieving, First Pass and Second Pass.
It looks like IronBits is already in the list for Free-DC and is listed as the Team Captain. So you are good-to-go.

Good news guys. Today was my last day at work (a good thing) so I will not have access to several of the machines I had crunching. As those machines get reimaged they will drop off production. Add to that the fact it is 100F this weekend so I will be shutting down the stuff I have running at home. I expect I will not be closing the gap with you guys.
