I tried to find an appropriate existing thread, but perhaps I used the wrong keywords. Anyway, I'm sure someone's noticed, but no one has been able to submit work since around 10:25:39 am EDT.

Yes - I see this too

Using sbp.pns.net TCP 80 - DNS resolves, traceroute is fine, connect works, but the proxy immediately closes the connection - suspect this is 2nd order effect of the main server at sb.pns.net TCP 1717 which gives connection refused.

Hopefully something just needs a kick rather than anything more serious.

"A crew digging in an Interstate 94 construction corridor in the Chicago area cut a fiber line this morning, causing major Internet service delays for customers of numerous companies.

Our provider had to do emergency maintenance on the power distribution in our datacenter. This caused some downtime. I restarted the server yesterday.. of course, I'm out of town so there was a slight delay.

Thanks for the update - at least it didn't involve hardware death/data loss/etc

one of my machines hasn't submitted a block since this happened, however it is able to ping the server fine,

Atlantis:sb shawn$ ping sb.pns.net
PING sob.pns.net (69.9.160.186): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 69.9.160.186: icmp_seq=0 ttl=55 time=21.566 ms
64 bytes from 69.9.160.186: icmp_seq=1 ttl=55 time=21.514 ms
the logs show

[Fri Jun 27 16:17:27 2008] resolving hostname
[Fri Jun 27 16:17:27 2008] could not resolve hostname -- block added to submit queue
[Fri Jun 27 16:31:45 2008] iteration: 5920000/14830262 (39.92%) k = 55459 n = 14830246

I even tried switching it to the sbp hostname but it still doesn't resolve. This machine is a Mac (10.5.3), running the latest beta client and i have cleared its DNS cache a few times but it still isn't able to submit properly.
