View Full Version : Local Dnet servers out of work?

Both my computers are out of work, and the command ./dnet -fetch isn't getting anything. I'm not sure what to do next.

In about 15 minutes I'm going to start suffering from 100% cpu utilization withdrawal(I'm half-joking and half not) so I'm going to go try to find a project with small work units until I figure out what to do next.

I'll check back here periodically to see if anyone's come up with a solution. I'm considering using the email feature to get work, but I first want to make sure I haven't FUBARed the computer.

Why don't you use the free-dc proxy? It's loaded up....

And exactly for that very reason I might add :D

I think he might need a hint on how to use or connect to the server

IB since you setup my server  Can you tell me how many jobs does my server holds.
I seem to burn through them fast :roadkill:

I don't recall. Not even sure which one it was installed on.
You can look in the pproxy.ini file and it will tell you.
Probably around 20,000 would be my guess.

As to how to use the pproxy server on Free-DC, it's the 1st message in the 2nd sticky thread called How to get started (http://www.free-dc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12426) in our OGR Forum

Ah'm still crunchin'. No sign of loss of work yet from the Free-DC pproxy.

(Why does everybody stutter when writing pproxy?) :looney:

Anyhow, does this mean we're (almost) home and dry?
