Which CPU???

AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition £120

I'm leaning towards the Q8200

I'd use the Q8200 to if I would need to decide:
- 45nm --> less power consumption
- but "only" 2,33 GHz (while the Q6x00 have 2,4 or 2,67 GHz)
- and "only" 2x2 MB Cache (while the Q6x00 have 2x4 MB)

how about a Q9300 (45nm; 2,5 GHz and 2x3 MB Cache), is only "some" £ more...

each project has its own "preference", the one uses only GHz, some need a fast or big cache, here are Intel faster, there are AMD faster, .... that was the reason why I asked what to do with it...

short answer is look for FSB=1333 (or AUTO) in the BIOS and change it to 1600.

Make sure that the BIOS is upto date as some of the older ones don't do 0.5 steps and you need that with this cpu even to get stock settings
