I just got hold of an MSI 6390, AMD XP1700 and 128MB/DDR for $179.
The board has on-board everything - is a small ATX format, and seems to rock ;)
I am sadly not the owner of this, I builtit up for a friend, but the on-board REALTEK was recognized by debian, and the S3 based video was handled easily too.
The fact that you can add an AGP card to should you desire seems enough reason to spring for one as a fastish cruncher /bedroom games box ?
