We are a victim of our freedom. From us came FreeDC, an authoritarian regime claiming to be free but restricting everything to begin with. Claiming to be everything they were not. They had few numbers, but little freedom - They did what they were told to do. They did VERY well in what they wanted to relative to the numbers they had. They had the focus we did not have, while we embraced freedom, they held the line. While we diluted across a score of projects, they limited to a few. We had freedom, they had focus.

That is a time now lost to us. Freedom is good, but the jack of all trades is the master of none. We should look to the authoritarianism of FreeDC and have a direction. Our resources are not infinite and we cannot dominate whatever we choose to.

I do not condone the deception of FreeDC, but I applaud the results it brought them. We can stand to learn from it as we can from all the other successful teams. We aren't the only player anymore. We need to learn that

He should note that we at FreeDC crunch what we want, if some hollers they need help with something those that do wanna help do so...
I remember the "seti" team they had position 1400+ i had and quite frankly it was freaking dull..

Hi, outlnder. Most of us older guys (and gals) around here have all kinds of contacts at ARS and of course, many of us came from there originally. Hell, I've still got some ARS credits on Folding@Home. I sometimes haunt the halls of your forum, as well.

I also knew Hat from my time at Ars. Always a bit full of himself I thought and no different now. Just my personal opinion I must stress and I picked Free-DC for the very values it has, not just because I was getting fed up with the way Ars was going. Haven't bothered to read his post as I can guess most of it and I don't think it worth bothering with or getting involved in any kind of a flame war. Ignore him Bok, just some self opinionated guy and everybody knows the REAL FREE-DC.
