My folding boxen have not been able to upload much work during the past 2-4 days. Even though I'm on dialup, normally I can get several days work from my Tbird 1ghz@1.37ghz (Linux), Duron 800 (Linux) and K6-2 400 (Win2k) uploaded within a night. In these past few days, I've been lucky to get 50K structures uploaded in 24 hours of constantly being connected to the net, while running my clients with the -it flag. My error.log's are populated with this:

ERROR: [010.003] {taskapi.c, line 1199} [ReadServerResponse] Timeout waiting for response, got 0 chars.
ERROR: [000.000] {foldtrajlite.c, line 4734} Error during upload: NO RESPONSE FROM SERVER - WILL TRY AGAIN LATER

I can see upload activity on the modem for several minutes, about as long as is normal to upload a single WU. While watching tcpdump on my firewall, I can see normal communications between my proxy and the server (packets sent, acks recieved). I have not changed any of the configs on the clients or proxy server since DF was uploading normally. From my Squid proxy log:

192.168.1.11 - - [15/Oct/2002:02:02:54 -0500] "POST http://www.distributedfolding.org/cgi-bin/trajstore HTTP/1.0" 200 336 TCP_MISS:DIRECT
192.168.1.11 - - [15/Oct/2002:02:02:54 -0500] "GET http://www.distributedfolding.org/server.status HTTP/1.0" 200 592 TCP_MEM_HIT:NONE

...These appear normal. At the moment, that server.status page shows servers as being down -- I'm not sure if this has been the case during the entire time I have been having problems. I now have enough work queued to take at least an entire night to send with a good connection to the server.

As you can see, I have been able to upload a few WU: http://www.zerothelement.com/cgi-bin/tsf-stats/stats.pl?userId=1161

Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks!

Looks like you started getting stuff through again? Anyways, nothing is down, you probably just have a slow connection to our server or are trying to upload at 'busy' times. A lot of people are probably uploading now since there will be a protein change tomorrow, so expect the server to be more bogged down than usual around this time.
Bascially, try again and eventually youll get it through. You have 48 hours after the change tomorrow to upload stuff too though.

One of my clients has been able to upload quite a few WU, however, the other one is still producing structures faster than can be sent. Prior to this period of uploading difficulty, when a client connected, it would generally upload all, or at least most, of the queued WU back-to-back. I now seem to only be able to upload one at a time, if at all. Hopefully it's just a temporary problem with the routing to the DF server, or something. All other internet traffic is behaving properly.
