Gentleman those who are jumping on board for this one, prepare your system we fire off at Midnight GMT, so get ready to lock, load and most totally and utterly :eat: the competition (where applicable)...

I just got a new BBQ so we need to test it out, I know the weathers not nice but I'd rather have it "seasoned" ;) before the weather turns nice, or at least it's above 50F when the sun shines.

So for the next month it's POEM @ Home....
Position as of now is 36 and current stats say we ain't going to pass anyone this month, yeah RIGHT..
To all those ahead of us in the stats, look out Team Free-DC is in the HOUSE and we aim to party as well as flatten, so kindly step aside...
Thank Y'all
Team GO!

Well, things seem to be going well to start with! Who are these Planet 3D Now! and ESL teams?! They have crazy power to be putting out what they are across multiple projects!

And from the looks of it, DPC could easily be attained (28th) within the month's timeframe. I say we aim for 25th again, but stop and :eat: some :cow: on the way!

gopher_yarrowzoo

CaptainMooseInc

:umm: I'm not sure who these Planet 3D Now! guys are, but there numbers are getting insane! I just checked Spinhenge@home and they're pushing nearly 500,000 just for TODAY, and nearly 250,000 on Poem@home. These guys are insane!

I'm wondering if they're making a BOINC related run at things?

I think we're not doing to bad though.

They have 138/620 users returning work. We have 13/21 returning work. They're only pushing out a little more than 2.5x the work we are daily.

IronBits

There are always bigger guns and teams out there that we can't do anything about, but...
there are also lots of smaller ones we can. :eat: or :stomp: :D

alpha
03-17-2009, 03:17 AM
For sure! There's so many projects with dormant teams above us - that's what makes the Project of the Month idea so worthwhile. It gives us the chance to run through those projects and stomp all the sleeping teams... and some that aren't. ;)

Go team!

Bah! I call foul!

We have a Poem@home trashing thread like last month, and then there's this one! I've been wondering why I haven't seen any Lauren updates on team takeovers in the other thread.

Possible merge?

Hrmmm...

Well, I'm trying to think up a menu right now since I'm hungry and ready to :eat:! The :cow:'s will easily be :stomp:ed soon and we can have some steaks. Now I'm just trying to see if we'll get to have polish sausage AND spaghetti, or just the sausage.

We've taken 31st position and are poised to have DPC crushed within the next 3 days hours or less.

Go Lauren go, have at 'em mate. I just wish my lads would get their new pubs company project going and I hadn't donated so many spare boards to various projects as I might have decided a challenge was possible like I did for Anthill :D Or mebbe not, that took up too much of my resources, even then. But there again, pubs do have nice cold cellars and sometimes loads of space and FREE electric ;).
And I've already been dragged back in so I get expenses for visiting some of them........

So what are most of you guys averaging for times on work units???

Those peptide work units were nice because they ranged from 15 minutes to around 2 hours for me on my old, run down Dual Xeon.

Now I'm getting around 5 hours per WU now that it's back to just the regular WUs they do...

The burp are a micro drop in current as ComEd changes there power suppliers
Puts some of my nodes in limbo between reset and off

We just took down Predictor @ Germany Next is BOINC@Poland

CaptainMooseInc
04-27-2009, 09:18 PM
Well...the new office at work has a brand new AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-core @ 2.30GHz and 8GBs of RAM. Running Vista Ultimate x64.

Just added it to the POEM@home project to see what it's capable of.

By the way, with April almost over, what are we switching to after P@H?

LAURENU2
04-27-2009, 09:45 PM
I thought we were doing No Prime Left Behind NPLB

hehe :evillaugh:I already have a running start

gopher_yarrowzoo
04-29-2009, 02:42 AM
Funny Lauren, I've no idea what were running since NOONE has put up a poll / alternate thread to see what's what what came 2nd after Poem@Home in the last poll maybe run that?

It's a pity I couldn't sneak Poem@Home on to a mates PC he's just got himself a Phenom II - Quad powered and this is just a gaming rig!

Angus
04-29-2009, 11:02 AM
I think it was just declared that the PoTM for May was NPLB... I didn't see a poll either.

CaptainMooseInc
04-30-2009, 12:35 PM
Hahaha. You noticed eh? I really like the numbers it can punch out.

Now if I could just figure out how to convince windows to run it once the user signs out and it's just waiting at a login screen...

CaptainMooseInc
05-13-2009, 12:51 AM
Well the push may be over, but my brother's Q6600 is now up and running. He owes me the money for it for the next few months, so I'm pretty sure he's gonna keep running what I say to on it until it's paid off.

I can't believe how outdated the Dual Xeon rigs actually are. The Phenom laid waste to it, and now the Q6600 is smashing the Phenom!
