DVD sound RIP

Hi,

What i am trying to do is RIP the sound track from a music DVD to my iPOD

If i get quicktime pro will i be able to do this??

You will need to rip the DVD to you hard drive using something like dvddecrypter or anydvd. Then use http://besweet.notrace.dk/ on the VOB files.

Alternative:
Get WinAVI Video Converter as this will convert from / to the following
WMF / AVI / RM / DVD with the dvd option allowing you to select DVD/MiniDVD/VCD etc...
once in AVI format you can then use "SUPER(c)" to convert it to audio only.
I don't think there is a direct audio only convert from DVD to wav/mp3 although I may be wrong..

WinAVI isn't free, SUPER is totally free

Handbrake is free software that will rip the audio/video to a file, then you should be able to use SUPER (or something else - maybe Audacity or WinAMP with an output-to-file plugin) to grab just the audio.
