Hello everybody,
i'm just curious: It seems to me that several thousand tests have vanished a little from the 1st pass queue.
Figures: On September 28th:
Proth tests completed 145 tests (0.0%) 792611 tests
Currently pending tests n/a 3330 tests
first-pass 46120 16906364 19999951 65 +283896
Today:
Proth tests completed 138 tests (0.0%) 793377 tests
Currently pending tests n/a 3183 tests
first-pass 42564 16948349 19999951 38 +176004
So, we are seeing roughly 2700 tests, which are neither pending nor completed, simply missing from 1st pass queue.
Just a weird little thing or something to look forward?
:D
Is it November already??? :guntotin:
Havn't heard anything yet but it would be nice to get one soon.
Personally I hope it's a firstpass.

Not yet November, but it has almost been two years!

My guess would be these tests have been removed from the SB First pass queue to be given to the PrimeGrid queue. Just a guess though.

That's a wholly more plausible explanation, but we want a prime!

Our plan right now is to chunk out n = 17M - 17.2M for all k and give them to PG. There will be joint credit if any primes are found and PG will do the full double checking.
The PG folks are currently working on making improvements to the client wrapper and a few other changes that will make our tests more efficient on their system, then they are planning to make our sub-project live.
========
This would be roughly 2934 tests

Interesting for sure... well we do use the Prime95 client now so I suppose this is the next step in the evolutionary chain of events.. Prove them all...
Next Step BOINC Sob :Pokes:

Yep. This is all that happened.

Oh man, that's a little bit mean. I *only* looked at the secret page ....
A irregularity there usually meant: Be kinda watchful for unfolding events ...
Oh well! If something seems to be too good to be true .... :hair:
Cheers,
Chris

Looks like my first 17.2M+ test was reserved this morning and should start crunching early next week. Excited to see the automatic P-1 factoring in action.... :)
