Sold to Apple. BURP has been sold to Apple Inc. and will be renamed to i3D. This will have a few implications, mostly:
It will now cost $89 to participate in the project (as artist or CPU-time contributor)
The BURP client will require a working installation of iTunes and Quicktime v. 7.4 in order to correctly download workunitsThe screensaver has been implemented to show a trade display of Apple products
Additionally all the movie files on the website will now include DRM so that they can only be played with the Quicktime player and cannot be copied.
