It has been made clear to me that for long-running GARLI jobs, it is possible for the program to stay in its initial phase for an extended period of time. During this time the progress bar will stay at 1%, and afterwards jump to 5% or beyond. During this initial phase, the program will not checkpoint! It is a situation we will work on remedying, but will have to live with for the time being. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
