I thought it would be interesting to have a thread just to compare the smallest stubs everyone has come across. Being a notorious client-watcher I noticed I just had two very small ones:

[Feb 21 08:26:59 UTC] OGR: Completed 24/22-20-8-13-6 (1.12 stats units)
[Feb 21 08:26:59 UTC] OGR: 24/22-20-8-13-6 [1,122,302,429 nodes]

[Feb 21 08:29:22 UTC] OGR: Completed 24/22-20-8-15-1 (1.36 stats units)
[Feb 21 08:29:22 UTC] OGR: 24/22-20-8-15-1 [1,367,524,236 nodes]

Anyone had anything smaller?

As a side note, as far as I can remember, the size of a stub (in nodes) has nothing to do with its optimality, so those two could be just as optimal as any - right?

Nope nothing smaller recently.

The smallest I could find (scrolling back) was 1.88 stats units..

Lots in the 2-4 ranges.

Your correct size has nothing to do with the optimality, from memory you used to be able to request small or large size stubs, so I guess they're sending out a mixture at the moment.

Keep crunching OGR-24 if you can; lets try and get it finished

Indeed, I wish more OGR-24 stubs were sent out so we can just get it done. I've noticed that on the rare occasion that I actually recieve a 24 mark stub, it is small (<50 Gnodes). That means absolutely nothing - it was just an observation :)

It would be nice if you could choose whether to crunch 24 or 25 mark stubs. I find that only <5 in 50 are 24 mark.

A close runner up...

[Feb 22 09:06:20 UTC] OGR: Completed 24/25-19-3-8-13 (1.18 stats units)
[Feb 22 09:06:20 UTC] OGR: 24/25-19-3-8-13 [1,180,174,831 nodes]

Contrary to my posting yesterday, my current batch of 50 stubs seems to be packed with 24 mark stubs. Hooray!

[Feb 23 04:45:41 UTC] OGR: Completed 24/3-18-42-1-4 (1.07 stats units)
[Feb 23 04:45:41 UTC] OGR: 24/3-18-42-1-4 [1,073,407,860 nodes]

That's my smallest i've recognized :scared:

Have a nice day!

Erm, sorry, that's my smallest:

[Feb 23 04:44:10 UTC] OGR: Completed 24/3-18-41-7-1 (0.97 stats units)
[Feb 23 04:44:10 UTC] OGR: 24/3-18-41-7-1 [971,778,757 nodes]

But, perhaps I'll find a smaller one...

[May 01 17:13:09 UTC] OGR: Completed 24/34-15-6-1-3 (0.39 stats units)
0.00:00:47.09 - [8,433,339 nodes/s]
[May 01 17:13:09 UTC] OGR: 24/34-15-6-1-3 [397,125,947 nodes]

can you offer smaller stubs?

Nice :) I haven't checked my pproxy logs for a long time, I might've crunched something small recently. Tomorrow is a deadline for three pieces of year-long work, so I'll check after tomorrow ;)

Now I checked my proxy-logs and that is my smallest OGR-24 stub:

2003-04-28 21:35:25,192.168.1.2,the_mk@gmx.at,24/46-18-2-3-1,51994189,4,1,90010478

51,994,189 Nodes!

and my smallest OGR-25 is 318,478,883 Nodes big/long/whatever...

my biggest OGR-25 that went through my proxy was 405,132,678,999 Nodes

my biggest OGR-24 that went through my proxy: 114,985,942,649 Nodes

I got this from an OGR-24 packet

[May 29 18:15:45 UTC] OGR: Sent 1 packet (0.07 stats units) to server.

One of the largest 24's I've seen....:scared:
