SB unable to communicate since RedHat 9 upgrade [fixed]

I recently upgraded one of my RedHat Linux machines from 8.0 to 9.0. Since the upgrade the SB 1.02 client hasn't been able to communicate. I've tried changing things in the configuration file, and have set the security level (firewall) back to none. Everything else works fine (Mozilla, RedHat Update).

Any suggestions as to how to fix or diagnose the problem would be appreciated.
