It should be interesting to see where this project leads once it gets going.

As much as would like to try this client, all I have been able to do is get to the point were it wants to connect to the server but only get the "unable to connect to server" error message "retrying in 5 mins" for hours on end. :(

I get that far, and then the client crashes. Tried reinstalling it, etc. but no go. Oh well, maybe next version...

If it won't connect try looking for a JobPacketNotParsed file in the Program Files\Lifemapper folder. Also, I believe it uses port 80 for connections, so make sure that's open. Also take a look at your saver.log and paste it here so I can have a look-see :trash: What OS's are you running it on?

I just joined Lifemapper and the Free-DC community today. I have tried other dc projects in the past and wanted to join a good club with a good community. Looks like I found the right place. Happy crunching everyone:|party|:

Soloist,

Welcome :)

I dont crunch LifeMapper but glad you found this to be home for you :) It's a great bunch of people with little to no "attitude".

Saw you popped on IRC..it's usually active weekends in the morning and evening and during the evening on weekdays.

Happy Crunching and be most welcome!!!

Well, according to my calculations, we should be moving into 14th place within the next day or two hopefully. Looking after AnandTech, theres appears to be several others teams that we should also be catching soon too:thumbs:

We need more members though. Im calling all you people that can help us out. All we need is a few people churning out a couple units per day and it would make a huge difference. Cmmon people, lets move Team-DC ino the top 10;) Thats not an unrealistic goal and would be fun to try to do. So lets start

:spank: all these other teams!

rus6,

Way to go and thanks for your help. You seem to be putting out some pretty good numbers. Glad to have you on the team.

Not yet, I believe they are working on it, at the moment there's just an application or a screen saver..

I was under the impression there was a service install....or I heard someone mention before I think. I don't know though, I've always just ran it as it was.
