What's with all of these new QCN BOINC projects?

As per subject line. Why are so many new BOINC projects appearing that seem to be regional QCN projects?

Just curious, as one project would appear to be the optimum number :)

Carl indicated that feedback had shown there might be better uptake having regional projects..

Of course a bunch of people will connect to all of them anyway. Me included probably when I get back home.

Did you try connecting to more than one QCN project?

I got my sensor today (painless experience, amazing!).

QCN seems to be crunching away happily (though I guess I have to wait 3 days to see any credit???) but 'La Red' doesn't seem to see the sensor? That is, QCN progress percentage is increasing, but la Red isn't.

Not much bothered, as long as QCN is working that's enough for me, but just curious :)

Oh, is there a quick way to see if my sensor is working? %age complete increasing, no credit showing in my account despite trickle ups, can't use the screensaver because it's unreadable over VNC (headless PC).

Yup, I'm connected to all three at once. Takes a day or so to connect to the others for some reason.

You only get 50credits per day and even then they don't validate those credits every day.. Patience with this one I'm afraid!
