It really is that simple.
You must all be clicking in the wrong place.
Bad aim or something.
In fact I'm sure of it.
If I can do it and dp can do it, then at least one other person can do it.
Maybe.

Call it a challenge :P

Certainly is a challenge. Certificate expired, then unable to connect to server anyway :)

I just tried it. Once I got by the certificate error and the security warning, all it said was unable to connect to server. It seems to me that it needs a little more than just a click to chat.:(

Yeah Secuirty cert has expired and none of the servers connect..

ITMT, you can use an IRC client to connect to irc://irc.dp.cx/free-dc, which is working.

I suspect that the digital certificate of the chat app expired at the end of 2011.
There's no problem connecting to dp's irc server with other irc client apps.

Should be working now. Would love to see some more people using the server ;) The guys over at http://www.hardocp.com/ have 37 people as of this posting. I dare the fine folks of Free-DC to match it...

Still not working for me. Maybe I've done something wrong.
1. Click on chat
2 Digital signature has an error. Ckick on run.
3. Application components security concern. Click no to not block it.
4. Change Nick name to Bigred. Change real name to Bigred. Click on connect.
Results are unable to connect to server.

Worked for me earlier today. Obviously had to ignore the expired cert, but I got on. To be met with silence and a sh*tload of invisible users. Friendly place. Not.

Just popped in. Dead. OP present but deaf, as was darkness. Ghastley travesty of a user experience. No idea why you're pushing this if you have 0% input.

Sadly, you'll never have more than 0% input if the users that are doing the complaining join, ask 2 questions in 4 minutes, then leave. IRC thankfully isn't facebook chat. Sometimes, people are doing other things. Stick around for more than 10 minutes, and maybe someone will be around and capable of responding...
