Need a recommendation.

Can anybody recommend a good free anonymous proxy located in the US. There are several sites that control content based on IP address that I would like to use but because of my location I can't.

I assume you've tried hidemyass (http://hidemyass.com/) and it isn't suitable.

I'm using hide-my-ip (http://www.hide-my-ip.com/) for free at the moment. I did have a paid-for account which worked well. Seems to have reverted to a slower service since I forgot to renew it :)

TBH I found most/all of the free proxies to be dismally slow, which is why I went for paid options (used to use Anonymizer until they got silly with payment methods). Things might be better these days though.

Oh, FWIW, my reasons for using a proxy are all entirely legal and above board. Even justifiable as a business expense :)

For Netflix ?

No. Primarily it would be for Youtube and Yahoo. A lot of times I find something interesting on Yahoo and when I want to watch the video it tells me it's not available here. A lot of sites also automatically come up in German which I would prefer in English.
