In the future if you see the "servers down for maintenance" error you have two choices to keep folding. One is to add the -if switch to your foldit.bat file. This will keep the client from trying to connect. Later when the server is back you need to restart the client with either no switch or -it. I use -it as it makes it easier to remember that -if is no internet.

The other option is to start the client with your ethernet cable unplugged, and then plug it back in when the client starts working. If the client can't find the server at all it will start folding, and when it tries to upload it will continue to fold even if it gets the server down message. Then when the server comes back it will just start uploading again.
