How about command line options?
dfGUI /kill
so I don't have to kill -f it, then restart it, which leaves a ghosted icon in the task tray ;)
Then for our dual friends
dfGUI /task1
dfGUI /task2
dfGUI /kill1
dfGUI /kill2
or something like that  :)

What would dfGUI /kill do, stop an active DF client? If all you want is a command line way to kill the DF client, there is one aready and it is also a one liner:
del foldtrajlite.lock
:D :D
All the GUI does is delete the .lock file so it can let the DF client shut itself down. You could even create a .bat file with the above command in it and rename it to dkill.bat or k.bat so you have to type less.

I already have that part, stopping the client.
I want something to stop dfGUI so that it exits gracefully and doesn't leave the 'ghosted' red dfGUI ICON in the task tray, which is caused by me having to use 'kill -f dfGUI' in my scriptfiles...
Thanks! :D

Ah, I understand now.
I don't think I can do that though. If you run dfGUI /kill it would only have the ability to kill itself which is a different process than the one already running. If there were multiple copies of dfGUI so you wanted to use /kill1 /kill2, it wouldn't know which one was which.
The only thing I can think of is having dfGUI periodically look for a file in its own directory like dfGUI.stop and if found, it would close itself gracefully. If you had dfGUI set to "Stop Client on Exit" you could just create that one file and dfGUI would also stop the DF client for you when it was shutting itself down. Would that work for you?

Heck yes! :D :smoking:
Don't forget to have it clean up and del the dfGUI.stop file on exit :)

Ok, I will add that to the wish list.

:smoking: How about 'save current window position' ?
I have Duals - and I find myself always dragging one up in the upper left corner and one down in the lower right hand corner so I can see ALL the goodness :D
