Argh!

Well my damn ferrets were playing around the computer and unplugged the XP1800 and now it won't boot up. As soon as it gets to the windows splash screen and sometimes before it gets to that, the machine just reboots. I'm thinking power supply issue :trash:


I've disabled all onboard devices, and unplugged all hard drives/cdroms, except for the main HD.

Was messing with it some more and I can hear the harddrive shutting down every 10 seconds or so like it's loosing power then immediatly getting power again.

Playful thing, ferrets! ;) Could be something got scrogged on the hard drive.

Try booting with a floppy or CD & see if it does the same thing.

I think you are right....seems to be the harddrive that has crapped out.

correction that seemed to be the problem, now it won't even stay on long enough for memory check
