Interupting network connection during an upload

I had a machine offline for a while, and it had saved up a bit of work. It was plugged in, and I sshed into it to dump the WU. While it was dumping, I lost my ssh connection to the box. When I went back in, it said the file verification failed, and wouldn't let me upload the files.
Any way for it to be fixed so that it doesn't lose those files again?

Could you post the specific error message you received, along with the listing of the directory in question.
