Personally i am concerned with the privacy issues surrounding the collection and more importantly, the use of the DATA.

Hmm let me think - war driving - free wifi for people, or worse you get your wifi cracked and the (FBI / CIA / NSA or country specific equivalent) / Cops come after you for downloading whatever when it's not been you but it they have the MAC address of your laptop as being it.. spoofed of course.

well they already scanned a lot of wifis
