Download new Client package because automatic client update has hosed ALL machines. None can get past 1st sequence!

Install new client and now all I get at the command line is this:

E:\distribfold>foldtrajlite /install
'foldtrajlite' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

E:\distribfold>foldtrajlite /install
'foldtrajlite' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

What used to work, no longer does. All my machines do now is generate error messages... This one on Win2k Pro...

Try foldtrajlite.exe /install

You need to put ".\" in front as in

E:\distribfold>.\foldtrajlite /install

If the system complains you already have it installed do /remove then /install.

Isn't that Linux syntax? I didn't realise Win2K uses the same.

The linux version is actually "./" since that is the way the slashes tilt in linux land. What it actually means is don't go looking around at all of the various paths looking for the foldtrajlite command. The "." means go up one directory level and the "\" means come right back down into this directory and run this specific foldtrajlite.exe.

It does always work in dos, but you usually do not need to do it.

You always need to use it in linux if you want to run something specifically in the directory that you are in.

I used foldtrajlite /install to install df as a service on my XP 2600. I have not worked at a command prompt in quite awhile (since Ubero) so it took me awhile to cd to the correct folder to excute the service command.

Uh . . .now I am wondering (I still am learning now so don't nobody :swear: or http://members.arstechnica.com/subscriptors/x/jamilla/flame.gif me please:

Jeff said I would still be able to use my dfGUI to follow the progress of my df client. I tried out the dfGUI but I could NOT make the client "Visible". Is this normal if the client is running as a service? I checked my Task Manager and foldtrajlite.exe is running.
