Post update experience.

1: The client doesn't leak memory any more
2: The client doesn't get stuck so often/long
3: I'm scoring about 25% more points
4: I haven't had a single problem with corrupt files.

Result :)

My main machine seemed to have got stuck on a loop on Gen 72.

Had to start again :-(

Fozzie: For how long? It should eventually continue - you shouldn't have to restart it.

I take it that it does that then.

Oh well something to add to the How to giude for newbies.

That's a few thousand points thrown away.

Fozzie

The client does get stuck.
It can be stuck for hours.

When you have a stuck client bring up task manager and check it is still using the right amount of memory.{About 90 meg} Also check the CPU usage of the Foldtrajlite.exe is still near 100%.

If the CPU usage looks right and the amount of memory being used looks right, leave it, it will unstick itself eventually.

If the CPU usage or amount of memory being used has dropped check the log because it is probably broken not stuck.

Sometimes the client doesn't start up properly this can be spotted by it only taking a few megs of memory instead of the usual 90 meg.
If this happens stop the client and delete the
Foltrajlite.lock file and restart the client.

Cheers guys.

I will be more aware if/when it happens the next time. It was unfortunate it happened around the time of the changeover, that and my lack of experience combined led me to dump it before asking.

Cheers
