Bugger! They're at it again. I feel like we're a small band of vastly superior warriors fighting off a never ending horde of unwashed barbarians! It's like playing Doom or Serious Sam: you've got the firepower, but they just never seem to stop coming. :D

Ah well, bring it on, then...

It all depends on your point of view, Dyy.

I always prefer to think of us as a vastly superior small band of unwashed barbarians, fighting off a never-ending horde. :looney:  :jester:

And as RacerX sez, "Always pillage BEFORE you burn." (I love it. Thanx,RacerX!)

I love those guys at Ars but damn are they annoying. :D

it reminds me of the Spartan warriors @ Thermopyle

-- the famous battle which ended with 300 Spartan warriors defying the entire Persian army in a last battle to the death --

Well, let's not point all the fingers at ars.

WE have contributed to our own problem also.....

Daily production rate over the last few days has declined, more than theirs has increased.

Let's CRUNCH !!!

Pillage, then burn. Pillage, then burn. Pillage, then burn. Pillage, then burn.

How could we come up with a smilie for that?

Glad you like it, Paratima!

Hard to remember stuff like that when you get older. :o

Damned embarrasing when you get it wrong, too!

30+ new/active crunchers and doing us a couple of million a day.

With Beth going offline soon it's looking bleak.

I'm re-organizing machines. Hope to have another couple of Ghz back on line tomorrow. Pretty much shut down the other projects again, (CB, ECC2, DNET) until the crisis passes. Should be red again by tomorrow - see what I can do about closing that 3M between me and Paratima....

Fozzie

too soon so 3ghz added.

lets see if we can resist the Ars leviathan.

As you say yourself: Resistance is futile.

The team needs the points, and you know what the view will be like if you don't make it... :moon:

You've changed your tune Pointwood.

I seem to remmeber you saying you would never catch us.

TBH matey I'll go with that one.

Too many arsians are fly-by-nights you'll be back down to 250 active before you know it and well be at 55.

I'll say you'll get within 20 million and just slide back after that.

Mark my words matey.

We'll see what happens - I do still remember how phase 1 ended though ;)

Pardon me for being a bit slow in the brain. :looney:

The biggest change in our fortunes lately, is our good buddy bguinto1 coming back from vacay! Just take a looky here (http://stats.zerothelement.com/cgi-bin/distributed-folding/render-user-detailed.pl?Id=10583), with particular attention to the Daily Production graph!

Maybe we could chip in & send him on a long cruise? ;)

Angus

Nah. just need to do protein changes more often, :D

That seems to slow him down for most of a week. :bonk:

the gap already within one week.

I don't think just a protein change is required here.

If there is a dunce cap around here I need it :( , just reliased that with the small protein being run atm the memory requirements when running the -rt switich are not as great as usual. :bang: therefore the memory starved machines (128MB) can run the client without taking a big performance hit.
