I was being stupid and bought the PIII 1.13Ghz processors (256k cache). I later found out that my motherboard only supports up to a 1 Ghz processor.

So I have for trade:

2x 1.13Ghz PIII processors 133Mhz FSB 256k cache

I am looking for:

a 1Ghz processor for each of them.

I have the original HSF for them. I can send that too if it is wanted, provided that I get one in return.

Other requirements:
You must crunch for Free-DC.
You must be willing to do DF for Free-DC.

Any takers??

I've got a dual P3-1000 at the office. I'll have to take a look at the MB, but if it supports it I'll be happy to swap with you. We definately need to get you up and running...

So, the processor won't run "underclocked"??? I thought processors could always be run at slower than the rated speed...

Not that I could tell. If I could do that, I'd be at a loss of how to do it.

If I put them in, It won't run.

It's a Tyan Thunder LE board. Good board, stupid nerd. :spank:

You'd have been OK with a Thunder LE-T board. A lot of PIII boards supported the Coppermine core (up to 1Ghz) but not the Tualatin core. So, you've been putting Tualatins in a board meant for a different core.

Here's Tyan's PIII support chart:

I've got the same issue with an Asus CUSI-M. Thought I could drop in a 1.13 to replace a 700, but nooooooo....
