I'm not sure I showed you these pictures of my motherboard and processor that died, here on this Forum before. This happened late last year if I remember right. I know some of you have seen them...

Beware of the fan header power connectors on motherboards, I wasn't then, but I am now, and I know several folks that changed their ways ASAP, so thought it would be good to share a hard lesson...

The power output where you plug your HS fan header on the motherboard burned out, the fan stopped, rest is history.
Use the 3 wire to 4 wire adapter and plug it into a HDD connector instead.

What kind of Fan were you using on the HS? I know some fans draw a lot of juice and can burn out some MB Headers if they are not rated for them.

Tis a sad site to see the destruction caused by Delta + motherboard headers. :(

Prolly a 7,000 rpm fan that would come with an SK6 :)
I knew better than that, I just wasn't thinking or paying attention when I slapped it together.

I also see I was smart enough to date the webpage so that I would always remember it was Dec. 7th, 2001 when it happened. :D
