From the DF NEWS site:

- Due to apparent last-minute problems with the *full* Windows version, we are not releasing it until the problem is resolved. Note that all *update* patches are available. Also, somebody posted over on the DF Forum that the new size is 64.

I've had one client auto-update so far... it is a 64.

DF server seems to be in yo-yo emulation mode.

Again.

Can anyone tell if it's faster than last one?

rsbriggs

It's smaller - it should be mid-way between the two - not as fast as the first, but faster than the last one we processed. Assuming, of course, that the processing hasn't changed.....

On my Windows 2000 machine the update went quite smooth...did upload about 38 generations which built up while waiting for the update and then downloaded the update and updated just fine!

The size of the new one is 64 allright.

It seems a litlebit slower though than the last one....about 10min through gen0 on my machine at least right now....

Greets and good crunching:D

All machines autoupdated, no probs (win2k). I agree with Thor on the speed.

That's good to know about speed. A fast protein would have brought the ants to the picnic.

i haven't had time to check my online boxen, but based on the stats since noon, the autoupdate demon must have worked and those 46 boxen must have switched ok :smoking:

Yuppers. All of mine switched painlessly.

I have to agree with FoBoT...gen 0 was a little slower on my computer but now the new gen seems to be faster...

and it folds quite well! topscore is down to 2.90 already! :drums:

it will be interessting how close to zero it will get...

"i think its a little faster"

I think it is a bit more than a little bit.

PCZ

It may not be a screamer but it is certainly faster than the last one.

Just gutted I have all my boxen sitting at work doing jacque merde.

Gonna have my work cut out harvesting the farm and uploading every night.

Here's hoing for a slow one in a couple of weeks time 'cos we are going to mucer 5 billion very quickly.

BTW go get lemonsqz PCZ you look like you will have him before the end of the month.
