Stefan says that on GAH2 we will be able to set the priority for Filter.exe to idle. i suspect that might please some of the crunchers wit da big iron. also, filter results will be written to disk so it won't have to be rerun once a gene has been initialized! joy!

please remember to reduce the priority of the initial G@H FILTERING process to IDLE when presenting the new G@H/F@H combined version.
Reason: People complain that the computer is running slow when filtering starts.

Would not it be possible to write the result of filtering to disk so that after restart filtering process is not needed at all?

Yes, both these improvements have been implemented in G@h
