Hey all,
Friend has a crappy dial-up connection and needs a Win proggie that will keep the connection alive. Something that pings the odd site every minute or so will probably work.
Anyone have any recommendations?

Hmm...I know the Jabber client I use (http://psi.affinix.com/) is able to send "keep-alive" packages, but I could imagine you could find a lot of small utils that does the same :)

Tks...Jabber is a bit too complex for this person..she's a windows user.

There should be a number of others out there....

Those things used to be really popular with AOL dial-up users to keep their sessions active....
Perhaps technology has gone by that issue.

Jabber too complex? So Messenger, etc. is too complex too?
