Can the A64 and Opteron users among us expect a 64bit version of the SOB client soon?
For me, a native 64 bit linux compiled version of the code would be ideal, as I have two rigs that need good code to crunch.
The current version is not optimized, though i can confirm is compatible with the amd64 architecture.

You forget first 64 bit desktop box - G5 Power Mac. ;)
There could be nice speed rising if there was a Mac OS X client.

If Louis or any of the developers needs access to a 64 bit amd shell, I'd be happy to setup an account and open the sshd (and forward the old router port) server.
I can't comment on the G5 whatsoever, as I am still convinced that all Macs are just really overpriced PDA's with a monitor. :Pokes:

IIRC then this client is based of the same library as prime95, so it is most likely that any math optimisations would be done by George Woltman. I think I remember him talking about doing those optimisations, so it may not be that long before we get some 64 bit code. There may be some need to adapt the client a little though.
In summary I'm sure it is in the works but Louis may not be or need to be involved yet.
