On 2 August 2015, 07:43:42 UTC, PrimeGrid’s Mega Prime Search found the Mega Prime: 135*2^3518338+1 (http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=120186) The prime is 1,059,128 digits long and enters Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database (http://primes.utm.edu/primes) ranked 107th overall. The discovery was made by Evelyn Chew (Crackenback (http://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=299026)) of Australia using an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2603 0 @ 1.80GHz with 8GB RAM, running Microsoft Windows Server 2008. This computer took about 2 hours 57 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. Evelyn is a member of the BOINC@AUSTRALIA (http://www.primegrid.com/team_display.php?teamid=25) team. The prime was verified on 2 August 2015, 09:09:01 UTC, by Paulo Silva (Cyph3r (http://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=27614)) of Portugal using an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHz with 60GB RAM, running Linux.
