Hey, i just joined Free-DC. found your website a great help in looking at DC projects, so i thought i'd help you out. as it happens, this is good for you too, since i just got finished writing a really neato linux shellscript to run DF on every computer in the linux "high-performance" lab, belonging to the Tennessee Tech Computer Science Department, http://www.csc.tntech.edu/ . It contains 24 Dual Pentium III 800 MHz workstations running Red hat linux 7.2 in a mosix cluster. not only do i get to run distributed folding on it (for now) but i get class credit for writing the script :) anyway, hope it helps. if anyone is interested in details id be happy to share. was i right in thinking there were some issues with SMP with DF?

hi
nice, cool
yes, be sure to read the threads about dually's and DF, seems there are some "special" problems

i have no dualy's (yet ;) ) so i don't really know what is up, but there are a few threads about it, also some over at Ars DC forum (http://arstechnica.infopop.net/OpenTopic/page?a=frm&s=50009562&f=122097561)

i think the 3dhq DF forum also had at least one thread about poor performance of dually's

good luck and thanks for throwing your hat into the ring with FreeDC :)
