Quick calculations show that based on the current daily numbers, DPC will beat Ars to 10B by 6 days. But based on current weekly numbers, Ars will beat DPC to 10B by 11 days. Seeing as how DPCs numbers are still fluctuating, we'll have to see how it goes.

** edit

Also, it seems that all three teams will hit 10B (based again, on current numbers) well before the end of the year. Somewhere in Mid-late April for us, June/July for them.

Great job Free-DC :) And for everyone calculating nice numbers for DPC lol, don't forget the Stampede is just 1 month. 14th of February there will be a significant drop in the output again. If the next protein, that will be released in 40 mins (barring unforseen circumstances), is about as equal as the current one, I would be happy if DPC made it till 3B before the 14th of Feb.

protein speeds vary widely, i think y'all are getting a little ahead of things

I agree with FoBoT here. Until the new protein's speed is determined, everything is pure speculation. Granted, that's not all bad, but personally, I'll wait until I see how quickly the new protein processes (about a week), and then the informed predictions can begin. I merely plan to sit back and enjoy the show.

Well done on 5 billion, everyone. Let's look forward to 6!

Congrats Free-DC, you're doing an amazingly great job

FoBoT: Agreed, the new protein will most likely be much, much faster than the current slow one, so it'll not take nearly as long time :p

Like I said, my numbers are from current data, and I know that the protein speed varies. I just thought I'd put it into perspective for everyone :)

Unless you all have an influx of members, the overall effect will still be the same, although the dates will change. So :p

True DP - but IIRC, that's actually exactly what is happening ATM :D

congrats FDC. I got a feeling a lot will change for all of us well before any team reaches 10B. Until then I'm just enjoying the ride and the competition.

Cheers,
Marc
